I am a MASSIVE fan of the stunning brand Meri Meri.
And I love a brand with an inspiring story. Started in 1985 in LA on a kitchen table, by founder Meredithe, who’s childhood nickname was MERI MERI – her humble kitchen table and pot of glitter beginnings have now spawned the most stunning company, operated out of Cheltenham, UK. LOVE THAT!
I’ve been a fan of the brand for a while now – ever since I got loads of unique party bits for Akira. Meri Meri make the most incredible pieces for EVERYONE, without the usual gender stereotyping that goes on. Their ranges are unisex, divine and a class above!
Which is why I was SO excited to discover their Christmas ranges! And, since this is the time of year we’re all supposed to be living the Christmas dream, but in reality frazzled and racing between school plays, Christmas fairs and Carol concerts, whilst shoving Heston’s “Spiced Mince Pies with a Lemon Twist” into our mouths (VERY good – or so I’ve heard!) – I thought I’d take the heat out of life and share my fave pieces from the range.
First up, HOW gorgeous are these? The most beautifully made angel and mermaid (gotta love a Christmas mermaid, right?!) She does have a gold sparkly tail and headband and at 22 and 24″ respectively, although described as cushions, these are just about the most gorgeous Ragdoll characters you’ll ever see! And the most stunning quality. Like the kind of heirloom piece you give someone for a Christening!
I put this amazing Chandelier on my insta-stories this week and EVERYONE messaged me about it! Just divine and currently hanging over my fireplace (don’t worry – it’s a long way from the fire!!) 30″ long and covered with silver and the most stunning fleuro coral pompoms, what’s not to love? Also these stocking fillers
are gonna come in handy too *coughs “I’ll be sure to tell the big man about them”!
THIS – just about the most lovely traditional advent calendar you’ll ever see! The kids excitedly open it every morning and I love that it’s actually the story of Christmas, in gorgeous wooden pieces. It comes in a lovely box with a door for every piece – this mornings offering elicited an “Mary, ALREADY”?! Love that! At 11 and 8 I love how excited mine still get about advent calendars. Who doesn’t?
And a UNICORN – How gorgeous would this look on a bed and for nighttime snuggles? The kids will be lucky if it makes it under the tree at this rate! I’m a bit in love myself. I’m sure the Mr wouldn’t mind vying for my affection alongside a knitted unicorn?!
And finally, these beautiful stocking fillers make such a refreshing change from the usual plastic tat on offer for such tasks! As a kids myself, waking up on Christmas morning with the stocking rustling on the end of my bed, was about as magical a moment as Christmas brought! Easily my favourite time of the day! Aside from the orange at the bottom of the stocking – what was THAT all about? I didn’t like oranges AND it heralded the end of the stocking joy! Sad times!
Ah – Christmas! Bring it on!
