Nature feeds my soul – FACT!

So having a way to enjoy the garden even in the colder months?  Stuff of DREAMS!

With Trey being half Filipino, I’ve always loved garden rooms. That outdoor-indoor living where one merges into the other is super popular in Asia and we’ve always wanted the vibe at home.

We actually bought the structure from a local Garden Centre last year.  Winter is an amazing time to grab a bargain – and we bought an ex-demo model to save the £££.  They professionally installed it and it came with a guarantee.  What’s not to love?!   I knew I wanted loads of glass so windows were a big priority.

It’s honestly become my happiest part of the house and we use it year-round  – just last weekend we flung the doors open and toasted marshmallows on the firepit!  It’s also become the most inspiring space for when I’m coaching from home – something about being able to see the sky really seems to help clients DREAM BIG!

Here’s the interior inspo:

We found the gorgeous leather Barcelona chairs on eBay – I’ve always wanted one since they’re such a design classic and having two means that we’re never arguing over them!   Practical AND iconic = WINNING!

The black chairs come in a variety of vibrant and gorgeous colours – I went with classic black to not overwhelm the room. I also thought it would be good to have a couple of chairs that could easily transition to outdoors if we needed extra seating in the summer so we got these from LaRedoute and they’re super comfy.

With a gorgeous wooden floor in place I wanted something to soften the wood and make the room feel cosier on chilly days. Step forward this super versatile Leopard number from Ikea – I love the irregular shape of it and the mix of colours means it can 100% cope with garden shoes walking over it – and so can I!

For the winter I’ve also added sheepskin rugs which I bought from John Lewis – I was going to get some in Ikea recently then my genius sister told me that John Lewis were only £5 more expensive (who knew?!) and WAY superior.

The stunning blanket was from Oliver Bonas and I love the splash of colour it gives.

When you have a mate as super talented as Junie Poonie – you use her skills!  I commissioned the gorgeous June to make some quote prints for me and I LOVE the result.  When I’m coaching, I love getting inspired and when I’m just chilling out – they make me smile inside!

Love love love this vintage-look Starburst mirror with a slightly more modern edge.  I thought it was fitting with the nature vibe too and this is totally a sun trap at most times of the year.  Another from La Redoute – as are the wall shelves below, adding a splash of colour and interest…..

I first discovered Martin & Cox Living Gifts when I was speaking on a Southwood Social Hub panel at Soho Farmhouse – HOW TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE IN BUSINESS.   Speakers were kindly sent one of Gemmas gorgeous gifts as a thanks for speaking and I’ve now kept it alive for 6 months!  GO ME! Her plants are gorgeous, the packaging is equally impressive and I’ve sent several of these to friends as a gorgeous change from flowers. I LOVE how they come with tags (available for personalisation) and add a bit of positivity to any environment!

My genius man sourced these vintage LIGHTS from eBay and I couldn’t love them more if I tried!  Almost lost the plot when our electrician mounted them upside down (!) but it was soon sorted!

Love keeping a selection of magazines out here – usually my faves Psychologies and Breathe in a stunning wire rack from La Redoute.

The brass PALM TREES were an excited find in TK Maxx – I might have actually let out a little scream when I found  them!  And this lush velvet cushion is just the best green ever. Another from Oliver Bonas.

I love this nest of 2 tables from La Redoute.  Gorgeous mirrored tops – they’re so versatile and can either be used together or separately.  This room always has a candle burning – my current fave is from Cowshed.Katy Hill Blog

This room makes me so happy and I love how versatile it is. Sometimes I head out here first thing for a bit of sunrise yoga!  Not recently mind, but when the spring hits again – just watch me!

Now to get the indoors of our home sorted.  We’ve lived here for 10 years and have BIG plans for 2019!

Exciting times ahead!  Watch this space!

(apparently we aren’t the only ones who love a bit of Garden Room action!)

I collaborated with La Redoute and Oliver Bonas on this room and all bits I chose from them were kindly gifted for the purposes of this blog.

Everything else  I paid for and all views are, as always, my own!
